#24 Alvar Aalto style villa - green oasis a stone's throw from the sea

In this Villa located along the Lazio coast (Santa Marinella - Rome) Studio Urka had fun designing the outdoor spaces that surround the fantastic building designed by the disciples of Alvar Aalto, enriching it with wonderful furnished green spaces. From the main gate, a fantastic green corridor composed of ornamental flower beds of perennial herbaceous plants and grasses leads the visitor to the entrance of the house; on the left, a half-court for basketball and other sports delimits the western space of the villa, flanked by green terraces (a grass hill with conversation pits). Ahead, a large paved area is enriched by an outdoor dining area with an open kitchen and an equally fantastic living area overlooking the pool, all surrounded by wonderful flower beds with ornamental perennial herbaceous plants and grasses. Further along, a beautiful infinity pool, with an adjoining solarium area, outdoor showers and green flower beds give the villa owners a corner to relax. Beyond the swimming pool, on the lower level, some plots of land have been converted to a vegetable garden. Near the building, a fantastic green roof with a strong aesthetic and visual impact has been installed on one side (above an abandoned attic) while on the other a flight of steps surrounded by greenery and flanked by a water blade fountain leads the owners to the square in front of the building. Here, another living area and an outdoor dining area allow the owners to fully enjoy the best view of the house (facing the sea). The house is in fact framed by the fantastic construction of green hills of different heights and conformations suitable to hug the best view of the surrounding landscape. Finally, the villa ends with two naturalistic terraces of different heights where minimal interventions are carried out to allow the visitor to enter the naturalistic arrangements and fully enjoy the surrounding nature.
